  • Insert maps in websites with a simple iframe

  • Use maps interactively with JavaScript

    If you want to build a rich web map application and embedding a map using an iframe is not sufficient, you can insert a map into your web using JavaScript. After you log in to MapTiler Cloud administration, click on one of the available maps and you will see under the Use vector style and Raster tiles headers links to Examples of usage with different JavaScript libraries. Click on any of these links and it will automatically generate you the whole web page code you can directly use or modify according to your needs.     You can create a mobile app with maps either using an SDK or JavaScript and HTML. You can also use QT SDK to develop desktop software. It is possible to combine map data from MapTiler Cloud with data from the OpenMapTiles project for off-line mode. Native mobile apps Using mobile SDK to create a native mobile app is mostly the best choice. The code is translated into native code and has lower hardware requirements.   • Load maps to desktop GIS

    Loading a map in desktop GIS software is simple. If you go in the administration menu on Maps and click one of the maps, you will see on the new page a map and few generated links. Use the link in the Web map service section. If you have the Free or Vector plan, you need to use a different method to load the map (read below).     With MapTiler Cloud, you can change colors, language, and font of your map in a few mouse clicks.   • Edit Style: Advanced changing of the map

    The easiest way to change the map design is to use the Customize tool. It is able to change colors of any layer, switch language or labels’ fonts. However, if you want to do more complex changes like hiding point of interest, defining an exact color for each road type, or adding own data to the map, you need more complex tool. It is available in MapTiler Cloud administration after you sign in, click on Maps and select any of it. Click on three vertical dots and select Edit a copy.   • Host own geodata

    MapTiler Cloud can host your geodata. You can either create your MBTiles file by MapTiler Desktop or any other application.
